Student Finance Accounts
Use the finance workspace to review student balances, charges, payments, and history.
The student finance account is the daily workspace for one student's money record.
Find A Student
Open the finance workspace, then use:
| Control | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Search | Find a student by name or account details. |
| Balance filter | Show all, outstanding, overdue, or settled accounts. |
| Ordering | Sort by newest, oldest, or recently updated. |
Select a student to open the account detail panel.
Account Summary
| Metric | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Total charged | All active amounts charged to the student. |
| Outstanding | What is still unpaid. |
| Overdue | Unpaid amount past its due date. |
| Unpaid charges | Number of charges still open. |
Use the summary first. It tells staff whether the student needs collection follow-up.
Tabs

| Charges | Registration and course charges with amount, due date, status, and outstanding balance. |
| Payments | Recorded payments and their allocations. |
| History | Full activity trail for finance actions. |
Charge Status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Unpaid | No payment has been allocated yet. |
| Partially paid | Some money has been allocated, but balance remains. |
| Paid | Charge is fully settled. |
| Overdue | Charge has unpaid balance after its due date. |
| Fully discounted | Discount reduced the charge total to zero. |
| Cancelled | Charge was cancelled as a correction. |
What Staff Usually Do Here
- Search for the student.
- Check outstanding and overdue amounts.
- Open charges to understand what is owed.
- Create a missing charge, if needed.
- Record a payment when money is received.
- Check the balance again.
