System Overview
A simple overview of the main parts of Educan.
Educan is an operations system for education teams.
It brings the main student workflows into one place:
- student records
- programs, courses, and sessions
- placement and enrollment
- attendance
- finance
- offers
- commissions
- support
Main Idea
Educan is organized around roles and workspaces.
A user signs in, enters the workspace for their role, and sees the work they are allowed to do.
Example:
- finance staff work with student accounts, charges, payments, discounts, and balances
- academic staff work with programs, courses, placement, sessions, enrollment, and attendance
- consultants and agents work with the students connected to them
- teachers work with teaching, assignments, gradebook, and results
