Fee Definitions

A fee definition is a reusable price. Staff use it later to create a charge for one student.

Course or session	The academic item for a course fee.	Which enrollments can receive the charge.
Amount	Price before discounts.	Charge subtotal.

Active	Whether staff can use it.	Live charge creation.

Scope	Use it for
Global	Registration fee.
Course	Same price for a course across sessions.
Session	Special price for one session.

Keep one clear active price for the same course or session during the same date period.

A discount definition is an approved percentage discount. Staff can apply it while creating a charge.

Discounts affect new charges created with that discount. They do not rewrite old charges.
